Hi All,

Seasons greetings.

Apologies for the OT post, but the community here is so kind and
helpful, I figured that this was as good a place to start as any.

>From my German heritage, my family has an old set of silver which has
been passed down through a few generations. My Father knew the story
behind it, and I'm glad to have his record of that.

That said, the silver has a single letter engraved on it and while I
know what my Father said it was, to me, it isn't so clear and obvious.

So, members of the SGGEE Community who have knowledge of old German
scripts (particularly if they are engraved in silver), please click
here if you have a moment and let me know what letter you see:

Of course after some responses come in, I'll be glad to tell you what
my family believes the letter to be. Perhaps they will even be the
same.

And If anyone knows of a better place for me to post about this,
please let me know.

Many thanks,

Peter
