Thank you for this link.  This is good information.

Unfortunately, the person I am helping needs records from mid to late 1700's with only one birth in 1802.  
She cannot order these films through a FHCenter in Germany because of the following notation.
"  Access in Europe limited to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gebrauch in Europa nur für Mitglieder der Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage erlaubt."

  These are films from the Katholische Kirche Waldmössingen (OA. Oberndorf)

  covering late 1700's to early 1800's.
