[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Justine Foth m.Gottlieb Joseph in Zhitomir 1885

Do you have their Intent for citizenship papers ?  This would have been my story too- but when looking at their papers it listed their place of birth .. St Pauline ( Sompolno  , Poland).  And not last residence which would have been Zhitmir area. 
I was then able to find the family ( everything matching up) through the church records in Sompolno. 

Just a thought that might, like me , might bring you results .
