[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] documents why are some blocked out?

It appears that page (scan) 62 has an insert taped on one edge.  The next 
scan 63 is done with the insert flipped over.  Thus between the two scans, 
one can see all the information.

I've seen alot of birth/marriage/death records like this over the last 
couple of weeks. Curious, Why would they have covered up
some of the information?
