[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] cause of death just the letter V (W)?

attaching the link for a death record on Elsa Fennig, daughter of Gustav and Karoline - act 234 -- for the cause of death, 
there is just the letter v (w) given, no further explanation. Maybe this was a kind of code indicating the cause of death? Can anyone explain?
