Hello Rose and Guenther, Thank you for your research and comments regarding John Martin Neumann and Libau. His Declaration of Intention application for US naturalization does clearly state Libau, Russia as the port of departure for the ship Birma or Birman. I'm not certain on the spelling stating the name of the vessel. Dorothy Natzke
