Dear Peter,
I assume the Polish records you have are in paragraph form and probably look
far more difficult than they are. The do contain quite a bit of interesting
information and almost always follow a set pattern.

You may be able to connect with a translator through the Polish Genealogical
Society web page (www.pgsa.org). If you are willing to tackle the records
yourself, you will get a lot of help from "In Their Words - Volume I: Polish"
by William Hoffman and Jonathan Shea. This book is 8 1/2 x 11 and 1" thick
so is is very comprehensive. The book is probably listed on the PGSA web
page or you can contact the publisher Language & Lineage Press directly at:
www.langline.com
