Hi,
    About the little mealtime grace:  My mother was a Volhynian German.  The 
prayer she said before meals (in English, not German) was "Come Lord Jesus, Be 
our guest.  Let this food to us be blest."  Could that possibly be the "Come 
in Jesus" you mentioned?
