Earlier one poster noted that there were many spelling variations like 
Frohlich, Froelich, Froehlich, Froehlick, Froehliich, and several others.
In my family's case, this family name roughly meaning happy 
person was shown sometimes as Wesselowski (and variations on 
that name) as well as Froelich for the very same person in Volhynia
