Tischler is certainly a German surname which occurred in Congress Poland in
the 1800s. In particular I have found the name in the Sompolno area. There
are 84 listings of the name in the SGGEE pedigree database. In vital
records written in Polish, the name is spelled Tyzler or Tyszler.
