Gerhard,

Further to Jack Milner¹s email regarding Pastor R. Kersten, I wish to add
the following:
>
> 1) I have in my possession a copy of the 75th Anniversary booklet of Trinity
> Lutheran Church, Rosthern, Sask (1911 to 1986); however, the booklet does not
> necessarily list all Pastor¹s that were ordained in the parish(es). No mention
> is made of Pastor Kersten. The Lutheran Pastors in Rosthern in 1913 were as
> follows:
>>
>> Christ Lutheran Church Rosthern (Manitoba Synod) Pastor G.O. Juettner
>> (served from 1912 to 1921) - this was the same Synod as St. John¹s Lutheran
>> Church, Edenwald (Milner¹s letter)
>> Trinity Lutheran Church Rosthern (Ohio Synod) Pastor Gustav Lenz (served
>> from 1911 to 1916)
>>
> These two congregations merged in 1948.
>
> 3) As an aside, during Pastor Kersten¹s two year stay in St. John¹s Lutheran
> Parish he and his wife had a child baptized as follows:
>
>> Martin Rudolf Alexander Kersten, born April 22, 1914 on Section 4, Township
>> 19, Range 17 Southeast of Edenwald, baptized on May 18, 1914 at Edenwald,
>> Parents: Rudolf Kersten and Hertha nee Mehling, Sponsors: Pastor W. Wahl,
>> Miss Hildegard Mehling, Fritz Mehling, Maria Broeske, Herm. Mehling
>> (Germany), Jul. Kersten (Russia), Joh. Kersten (Russia), Bine Feierabend
>> (Germany)
>
> Best Regards,
>
> Karl Lenz
