This might lead back to the religion question. My families in Volhynia were
all Baptist -- but some of them had one child (of their total of six or
eight or whatever) baptisted by the Lutherans, and subsequently appearing in
the St. Pete records. Not sure why they would lower their standards for one
kid, of course....
