I think Jerry is right and you are looking for Ceksyn, Kreis Tuchel, West Prussia. It is a very nice village with Nowaski's in the area including one married to a Remus (after 1850 there were a lot of Polish named people marrying German named people here). There is only a catholic church in the village. Lutherans would have gone to the church in Tuchel (Tuchola). 

The Tuchel Lutheran and Ceksyn Catholic church books are available on microfilm at your Family History Center.
