Joyce,

According to the 1910 USA Census for Oregon, your Anne Louise (shown
there as Ennie) immigrated to the USA in 1907, the same year as her
marriage. In 1910, she and Martin have a daughter Elsie who is 1 year
old, and that matches your pedigree data submitted to SGGEE, so I am
assuming this is the correct couple. The same couple shows up in the
1920 USA census, and this time the wife and mother is listed as Ena L.,
and she is indicated as having been naturalized in 1918- this should be
a great source for information on Anna Louise, and since the place of
naturalization is obviously Portland, Oregon (she dies in Oregon in
1989), so it should be easy to find the application for naturalization.
The 1920 census also shows daughters Edith and Esther. I tried to find
Anna Louise in 1930, but did not find them- not sure why.

If I then look for an Anna Luise Arndt entering the USA in 1907, I do
not see anything, but that could be because of the way Anna Louise is
giving her name out. A Soundex search for any Arndt who was 22 in
1907, however, does not give me any hits that make sense.
