a few further comments regarding 23andme.

there is an open communication board that has been ongoing (and has an accessable archive) for several years. all questions are welcomed and people are happy to answer questions and
discuss topics, from beginner to advance. many are willing to guide others through the more puzzling aspects of dna, research, health and all things related.

there is a Jewish segment of Ancestry Finder. it's seperated from the rest, and you can see who is related to you that claims at least one grandparent to be Jewish.

there is a sister program to Gedmatch called Ancestor projects. there's an Ashkenazi focus group on Ancestor project, as well as several others. perhaps someone should start a Polish
group. these groups are relatively new, and work off of data submitted to Gedmatch.

you can visit 23andme and poke around the site some with a free account, then decide to join later.
