it is an Ukrainian toast:

    Церковь рядом, но дорога обледéнела.
    Корчма далеко, но я пойду осторожненько.

    [Tserkov ryádom, no daróga oblyedényela.
    Kórchma dalyekó, no ya paydú ostaróshnyenka]

in German:

    Die Kirche ist nah, aber die Straße ist vereist.
    Bis zur Kneipe ist es weit, aber ich kann ja vorsichtig gehen!
