SCHÜTTPELZ is a very old German name, earliest finding Cunrad SCUTDEPELZ 1225 in Hessen.
It was centered in the Rügenwalde district, Pomerania for the last three centuries:

    "Die im Amt Rügenwalde bodenständigen Schüttpelze können ihre Stammfol­ge über dreihundert Jahre zurückverfolgen."
