When I see the pictures associated with that email address and with a photographer, John Lawrence, I am looking at St. John's Lutheran Church at Heimtal, Alberta. It was started by Germans from Volhynia.

For pics of the remains at the Volhynian Heimtal see

Thank you for the Heimthal church photo but my computer doesn't have the stuff to open your photo files...
so I googled for Lutheran churches in Heimthal, Russia, and got a photo. You can try it.

Says the photographer John Lawrence, JL Outdoor Photography Member since 2007:
This is the 2nd church built by this congration (sic). The first, built by German speaking immigrants for the Volhnia area of Russia, was constructed in 1899. The current church (shown) was built in 1926. Unfortunately, there are no regular scheduled services being held there. It is still interesting from a historical point of view.
Response:
This congregation has had regular church services since 1893, starting in homes, and still has them here every Sunday at 10:30 am, with multi-generational members attending. We also have several weddings here each year. Please feel free to drop in and join us! Not sure where you got your information, JL?
