Hi Deb,
Have you tried a DNA test?  If you have even a weak match to someone with ancestry in Poland it might help point to the area of Poland your ancestors came from.  It can be a slow process but the more people who do this the more we all learn about our ancestry.

Michaelle,

Do you have your Krause line posted somewhere?  I have Krause in my 
family from Alt Arcis, Bessarabia that go back to Poland but not sure 
where in Poland.
