Manitoba is not the only home of Mennonites.  Many came from areas close to
where our ancestors are from.

For those having Mennonite connections in Ontario, there is a one day
conference in Waterloo in October.  It is free. The key feature is stories
about their migration to Canada in the 19th century - which is probably
very similar to those of other Russian German immigrants.
