I think Karl is correct -- assuming you are looking for the Kassner family.

You did not include a family name, but I searched Ancestry for people born in Boberfeld. Easy. Gave me Adam Kassner.

There are several references to him in immigration documents; it appears he came to the United States three times at least. One refers to Boberfeld as "Post Richwall" which would mean that is where the local post office was; another says Boberfeld is in the Kalisch district.

North of Kalisz, almost to Konin, you will find Wojciechowo and Bobrowo, just as Karl said. Just to the east is a large town named Rychwał. (I drove through Rychwał in 2005. Time flies.)

Why did you think Chelm? Why did you think Volhynia? Your places are a long way from Volhynia. Chelm, for that matter, is not in Volhynia either; it's about 30 kilometres west.

There is a Wojciechowo and a Bobrowo (Boberfeld) way to the west almost in Germany, They are just north of Grodziec. The most well known Chelm is in eastern Poland but there may be other Chelms. I don't think you should be looking at Volhynia.Karl
