Hi Lonnie,
the "Reichsminister des Innern" (Department of the Interior) proclaimed on
13.03.1941 the "Deutsche Volksliste".
The Nazis wanted to save "german blood". Every german had to be saved, so his
blood didn`t choose to the polish race.
In the areas in the east the Nazis intended to register every german with the
"Volksliste", so they could give them the german naturalization in an easy
way.
There were some suppositions:
1. Confession to the german nationhood
2. Derivation
3. Qualification of race
There were detailed explanations.
Not only one of these suppositions but the whole personality had to be
prooved.

The "Deutsche Volksliste" was classified in 4 parts:
Part 1: Everyone who fighted for the german nationhood in several
organisations
Part 2: Everyone who didn`t fighted but resisted the polish nationhood
Part 3: Everyone who got relations to the polish nationhood but could
resozialized by the germans in an easy way
Part 4: Everyone who was in political polish organisations. If they didn`t
want to register in the "Deutsche Volksliste", they didn`t had to but their
children would.
There were detailed explanations.

It concerned people who had owned the polish naturalization on 26.Oktober
1939 or its of Danzig on 01.September 1939.

I hope this would help.
