[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Redlich family

Unfortunately Lorne, I don't think you have found the town.  Goberna is 
simply a word that is descriptive of a government district.

So Volinski Goberna = Volhynia.

In the St. Pete records, I don't see any Redlich entries until the birth of 
Samuel August to August R. and Louise Hoffmann.  (I have noted a Rehlich 
marriage in 1861 but don't know if that is a misspelling or not.)  Either 
the record (along with subsequent ones for siblings) is missing or someone 
is misinformed about the birthplace of Edward.
