"Linda,
How or where did you get those records? I think I may have relatives that came from that area. Any help appreciated!"

I did this in 1999/2000 and so I've had to refresh my memory.
I had a one page copy of the index of Marriages from The Lutheran parish in Rozyszcze.
This was in my fathers paperwork and I have no idea how he obtained it. That gave me the year of marriage of my grandfather's sister. I was then able to get the marriage record from the Archives in Warsaw and that gave me the place of birth of my grandfather's sister (Meszcze, Piotrkow)
I wrote to the archives in Piotrkow asking for church records ( I didn't realize there were none for this time period). They had these 14 pages of civil records. As I remember it was quite expensive, around $100 US.

SGGEE has links to all the various
archives. Follow the links under Research .

The index of marriages I have for Rozyszcze has 27marriages from 1856-1881. If anyone has a relative that they think might be listed i'd be happy to check.

There are several other marriages listed on the marriage record I received from
Warsaw.

They are Georg Baum to Julie Kunz.(Alexandrowka ) Ludwig Renn to Rosalie Lambrecht. Andreas Krieger to Juliane (last name difficult for me to decipher) but it looks like Quiram, Quivam, and Karl Gramlich to Justine Oelkie.

I'd be happy to scan in the copy of this record , if someone thinks these might be one of their records. On some of these records, I can make out what seems to be the brides parents names.
