Patricia,

Any chance that Elbinglank could actually be Elbingland?  The latter would be a term used to describe the "region of Elbing" which was in West Prussia.  See for example:

Allenstein is today known as Olsztyn, located some 85 km or so ESE of Elbing (Elblag).
