if I have to share with someone overseas etc I use Adobe Share 
http://www.adobe.com/acom/share/

It converts files to PDF and you can send the link to who you want to share 
it with.  I always ask that person(s) to download the info, and advise me 
when they have done so and then I delete it from the site. (that's just 
because I am still a little paranoid).  I have found it works well for short 
term transfer of info.
